Translating
books for children that are a feast to the eye as well as a mine of
information is a very pleasant experience, but also hard work. While
authors often supply their grown-up readers with the Latin terms for
every plant and animal mentioned, you'll rarely find them in children's
books. That makes translating them difficult, because common names are
often only common in one region or part of a country, they might differ
greatly in different English speaking countries.
